Returned machines are destroyed on chain. Nothing goes back to the market, so the machines that remain only get rarer.
Every Hash Machine lives on chain and trades on OpenSea. The full collection, live listings and offers are there.

Mining, money, refunds, the chain - no fine print.
What is Hash Machines?
8,888 machine NFTs on Robinhood Chain. Nobody gets one early - every single machine is found by real proof of work running in a visitor's own browser. No presale, no allowlist.
How do I get one?
Connect a wallet, sign a free message (no gas, no transaction - it just proves the wallet is yours), then press START MINE. Your cpu searches for a nonce that beats the current work bits. The moment it finds one, a CLAIM IT NOW button appears - one transaction and the machine is yours.
What does it cost?
The first machine costs 0.00004 ETH. Every 250 mints the price rises by 0.00004 ETH and the work bits go up by 1 - with no ceiling, so later machines are both pricier and harder to find. The contract sets the price, not us.
Where does the money go?
Every mint sends 70% of its price straight into the refund pool. Mint money sits in that pool and is only ever paid back out as refunds - it is not anyone's to take.
What is the refund pool?
A pot the contract itself holds. Every paid mint sends 70% of the price straight into the pool, and a refund pays 70% back while the 30% fee returns to the very same pool - so it refills itself forever and can never run dry. The pool is the only pot that ever pays money back.
What happens if someone mints first?
The chain moves on and your proof goes stale - but nothing is charged. The site spots it instantly, tells you, and starts a fresh search automatically. You never get left hanging on a dead transaction.
Do I need ETH in my wallet?
Yes - one mint's worth plus gas. The chain's gas token is ETH. The signature to enter costs nothing.
How do I hand a machine back?
Only the wallet that mined it, and only while it still holds it. The contract burns the NFT forever and pays you 70% of what you paid. The remaining 30% is the cost of leaving. One return per machine, then it is gone for good.
Can I buy one cheap and refund it?
No. Floor buyers can never refund - not on the first day, not ever. Only the original minter has that right, and only while they still hold it.
Why 70% and not 100%?
The 30% is the cost of leaving. It keeps the pool exactly funded so everyone who stays is covered, and it makes "mint and instantly refund" pointless as a strategy.
What about royalties?
Royalties are mandatory - a fixed percentage on every resale, set on chain and enforced. A marketplace can only move a machine if it is on the approved list, so venues that skip royalties simply cannot trade them.
Is this GPU-mined?
No. The site mines with your cpu only - there is no GPU or WebGL code anywhere. And because your nonce is bound to your own wallet, an external GPU farm mining for someone else gains nothing.
Which chain is this on?
Robinhood Chain, chain id 4663. The site adds or switches the network for you when you connect.
Can I sell my machine later?
Machines are standard NFTs, so you can list and trade them on any marketplace that supports the chain. But the moment a machine leaves the wallet that mined it, the return right is gone forever - the new owner can never refund it.
Is there a team reserve?
Every machine is found by work. There is a capped owner-mint switch for reserves and giveaways, and every parameter is visible and settable on chain - nothing is hidden.
